Pixar’s Joe Ranfit saw the old rusty tow truck that inspired the “Tow Mater” Character It is a great place to stop by and enjoy history with old gas-pumps, Food, and 66 collectables. You can even enjoy its celebrity Tow Truck.

40's era Gas Station.
A Character in Pixar’s Cars is based off of the tow truck found in Galena Kansas right behind the old route 66 gas station. Other inspirations for the movie were also found in Galena such as Maters driving backwards and parts of the town itself.
